Áine Collins is a Financial and Strategic Business Advisor having worked as Financial Accountant for over 25 years. Advising across several sectors with a skill in the SME area and a keen interest in start-ups.
As an entrepreneurial visionary leader and a qualified accountant, Áine has a proven track record in working with businesses to overcome challenges in developing business strategies and implementing them across their organisation, resulting in business growth and greater efficiencies and outcomes.
As an experience board director Áine understands the need for organisations to have a clear focus on implementing the business strategy with good governance and transparency.
She is also a former TD (Teachta Dála) and has extensive experience working in policy at government and industry level in both domestic and international markets.
During her time as a TD, Áine was a member of the Joint Committee for Jobs, Enterprise & Innovation, and Chair of the Internal Small Business Committee. She played a leadership role in the formulation of policy in these areas and led the policy on mentoring small businesses. Áine was also a member of the Public Accounts Committee who challenge the effective disbursement of public finances across government departments and publicly funded organisation’s.
She was the driver behind important initiatives including the equalisation of tax rates for the self-employed, the introduction of fuel rebates for the haulage industry and reductions in commercial vehicle motor taxes to eliminate disparities with our neighbours in Northern Ireland and the UK.
